We have Tyler & Kate’s engagement session today on the blog. This handsome couple are getting married at The Molly Pitcher Inn this September. They decided they wanted their shoot to be in a park nearby, where they reside at Carl Schurz Park. Which is a small park but actually nice with lots of trees, underpasses, bridges and a nice view of the river and bridges…
Overcast day for this session, so I really couldn’t get that nice pop or glow I like to give my images but Kate’s smile definitely helped me make some nice candid images of the two. These two were great to work with. Laid back and took great direction…..
We actually took a walk up the block to see if we could create a few photos in the street where I was able to take a few where we stopped at this church in the middle of the block and asked them to go next to the door. The actual priest of the church asked them what are they doing on his church steps jokingly which made them laugh and I was able to capture a nice moment there….
The sun came out but I didn’t have enough room to photograph them from a distance since the street was narrow so I asked them if we can go back to the park quickly before this sun leaves…. Tyler mind you, whips out his iPhone and launches an app that actually gives you specific weather details where he tells me “We have 8min of hard sunlight left”. It blew my mind that he told me this so we hustled to the park to get this last pic…. soon after the pic the sun left us….
Thanks for the app Tyler!
Beautiful. Really captures their energy and love.
