The hottest wedding of the year by far weather wise, as it took me like 2 days to recover from this July 17 wedding. How poetic that I’m able to do a wedding at the location I basically got my start into wedding photography where I took a 2 and a half day workshop nearby and used this location for the first day of the workshop. It was here where I learned how to use harsh sunlight to my advantage and use directional light. It brought back a lot of memories since it was the first time I was able to be at this location since the workshop.
But we have Jordan & Arielle here who are one of my hometown clients. Met them at an expo but haven’t seen them in several months after. I feel fortunate that they hired me for their special day. Sometimes you loose touch with inquiries and don’t know whether or not they’ll be back but fortunately enough they thought highly of me and they did.
I know it’s about the wedding on wedding days, but I have to tell you. This place is AMAZINGLY beautiful. This place is like a photographers dream, everything is manicured to perfection on the estate. From the inside and out. The rooms, the library, walkways and all.
Ah yes, back to the main folks. Jordan & Arielle have been together since 9th grade. That says a lot about their love. But nonetheless I started with the girls at the hotel and then on to the venue to photograph Jordan and the guys. Did a first look, private session and on to the ketubah signing ceremony before the actual ceremony outside….
From there we continued with the intros, first dances and speeches. I did take them outside again for a few photos. I have to say that these two showed amazing grace & grit because this day went by so fast with everyone vying for their attention and they still agreed to have some photos outside during reception before the start of the speeches & toast… well, which was worth it as they got some killer shots…Even to the very last photo outside at night. Which by the way was literally the last photograph of the night……
