Today’s wedding is featuring Leo and Jessica where their venue was at The Grand Oaks Country Club in Staten Island. These clients found me through a mutual friend on my personal Facebook account where Jessica posted a status stating she is looking for a photographer and a friend of mine Joanna tagged my name. She sent me a friend request, set up a meeting and booked right away.
Little do they know that when both of them walked into my office that I’ve known them for a quite a few years as they use to dance salsa under my ex dance partner. Yeah I use to dance professionally as some of you may not know that hehehe. I would see them dance and was surprised at the guy who danced well with his partner and to my surprise, was Filipino! hahaha… I’d still see them from time to time as my days of going out dancing started to end as I am now shooting weddings….
But it was a pleasant surprise to document their wedding. We started at Leo’s house with the boys and then headed to Jessica at the Hilton Garden Inn, of course in Staten Island, then proceeding to the Church which did challenge me a bit as the Church was extremely small but very wholesome as you can definitely feel it is one family when you enter the Church.
Once the ceremony was over we headed over to the park for a few portraits where they had a horse and chariot, then finally headed to the Grand Oaks for a few sunset photos and on to the formalities where you can see Leo & Jess enjoy each other and a nice photo I was able to capture of Leo sharing a private moment with his mom.
Here is a few from their day……
Such a professional photographer. An artist with charm, truly. Happy to have met him n keeping him in mind for future events.
