At the Grand Marquis this past weekend for Jose & Yasmin’s wedding. I’ve known Jose for close to 25 (this is not cool, it means I’m getting older) years as we played baseball together in summer leagues as early teens. Lost touch with him for many years and found each other just a few years ago. We’d see each other since we have friends in common from our baseball days, from time to time but would never think he’s ask me to document his wedding.
He did tell me one night that he was going to contact me for me to do his wedding. I personally didn’t believe him since he’s a jokester but he thought highly of my work and I’m here am, documenting his wedding. Honored as well. As everyone knows a Wedding is all about the bride and Yasmin did not disappoint as she looked fabulous as she kept it simple and classy… The same way she conducted herself through the Wedding…
Lot’s of emotion on this wedding as I always love documenting a bride’s father interact with her little girl on her most special day. It always gets emotional as I documented Yasmin’s dad seeing her little girl in that dress for the first time. Most people see this as a celebration between the bride and groom and rightfully so but this is also a testament to the parents that are actually alive to see this and actually did raise a woman or man to get to this point. It’s truly a beautiful thing to document. In the moment of the day one can forget this but it’s truly a celebration of family besides the bride and groom. The day continued with emotion throughout the wedding from the first dances and speeches…..
These two definitely dodged a weather bullet as this past Sunday we had a strong weather alert of high winds and it was extremely windy and cold when I arrived to the groomsmen and as well to Yasmin’s house. But after the Church ceremony they somehow were blessed to have no wind at all during their private session….
Enjoy the photos as much as I loved taking them….
