Dumbo Park in Brooklyn is perfect to photograph this engagement session between Arjun & Shaili. It was pretty much the first time I actually did any photos of a couple. Shaili contacted me on Wedding Wire. We had a meeting to discuss her Indian Engagement Party her family was hosting as they will be getting married next year. They were interested in some pre photos prior to their upcoming party and asked them where would they like to have their photos. So Arjun was interested in having their photos done in Dumbo Park in Brooklyn. Since they live in Brooklyn it would make sense but I also am near the area so it was a win win situation.
The light was beautiful and the day was beautiful. With great alley’s to photograph, a scenic view of the architecture that Dumbo has to offer and of course the Brooklyn Bridge where I was able to somehow capture these two alone for a few seconds as many visitors and tourist roamed the area. So that was a bit challenging.
After photographing them in Brooklyn we headed over to 230 fifth where this is the location that is very dear to them. It’s where Arjun proposed to Shaili. They wanted to do photos of the exact seating area where he proposed. We were actually lucky that the area opened up, so we jumped at the opportunity to . So it was nice to photograph them in the exact location where the question was popped.
