John & Shannon’s Engagement Session

August 8, 2017

Can’t say enough about John & Shannon’s engagement session. What energy they have. This particular day I felt like I was able to make images at any given time because they let me “fly”. See? As a creative when you have that trust with your clients that they put that total trust in you is what enables me to just position them in any location where I see I can take a nice image. That’s what they did.  These two love to be photographed! Anywhere I wanted them, they did. All one would have to do is just put these lovers in the location you want and the emotion and happiness will just follow.

John & Shannon met at Yale University in New Haven and wanted a city shoot. We started with a few photographs in Hoboken and then took the ferry over to the World Trade Center where Shannon’s office is near there where we actually went through the lobby of her building which was really cool. We were able to make a few photographs at her lobby, as some building personal recognized her. Some experience. We just continued to to parts of Manhattan. From subways to cabs and all as they wanted but it’s so easy to photograph in NYC with all the mayhem that is around us.. But these two are so in their zone where makes everything around them stop when photographing John & Shannon. We finished up by taking the ferry back to Hoboken. Their joy totally makes it easy to photograph them… But man, these two are some of the nicest folks. That was my energy for them. They actually thought I was from the midwest because of how personable I was! haha I take that as a compliment! Kudos!

Here are a few from their day….
