Kyle & Christine’s Engagement was more of an educational session on my end as I got to know the cool town of New Hope, PA. Kinda reminds me of my town as everyone knows each other, its small and lots of good eateries in a small area. We decided to meet at the New Hope train station that has a vintage look to it to start our session. I definitely wanted to incorporate the town’s name of New Hope in at least one of their photos as I can see they have pride in their town which is something I can appreciate myself. I didn’t know the area so I had them take me to locations that may be interesting to them.
See, my personal view on engagement session are, the place doesn’t have to be ideal or iconic. Although that works as well. I always believed an e-session should be about enjoying each other’s company with the exception of me behind the lens 🙂 and what the couple usually does on an every day basis or other day basis…. So what we did was just walk around the area after the train station where we headed to a bridge that has sentimental value to them where they’ve had many walks and talks during their dating days I’m sure…We then headed to an area the locals call The Ruins that is abandoned but has lots of character, made a stop to visit their cute dog Ollie and then to Triumph Brewery where they both originally first met and as you know the rest is history, as history will be made on their wedding day at The James A. Michener Art Museum in Pennsylvania.
As we finished off the session at Triumph Brewery, Kyle “knows” a lot of people in New Hope so he had access to the actual brewery they have on hand at the place where we took a few cool shots…. They were a joy to work with…
Here is a few from their session..
