At the Channel Club for Michael & Allison’s wedding. Gloomy day but that didn’t stop me from capturing excellent moments of course. Huge wedding party I can say for this one. Starting out with Michael and the groomsmen at his former home before heading over to Allison which was getting ready near by where emotions were pretty high as Allison’s parents seeing their little girl in her dress. Emotions make great photos of course. Allison wanted me to capture her father’s first reaction to seeing her in her wedding dress before heading to the church where the look on her dad’s face was priceless. Powerful moment indeed…..
After the church ceremony and park session with these two, we headed back to the Channel club for the rest of night. Which I personally thought the most powerful moment of the night in my humble opinion was having Allison’s dad get up to dance with his daughter. For some people this can be routine but for others it isn’t. I find it poetic that with the physical limitations Allison’s dad has, it was an awesome moment to see him get up and dance with Allison. Albeit in place, he still got up, and that right there is powerful. I’m pretty sure one thing a dad would ever want in life is to give his daughter way to a good man, which Michael is, be at his daughter’s wedding and to actually dance with his little girl at her wedding, and that he did…..
