Wedding at The Merion. This was the longest wedding I ever did hands down for this one. I worked 21hrs this particular day as this was truly a long one and exhausting one. It was all worth it at the end for these two as their wedding was one of the most colorful and beautiful weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. I can’t say much about the colors of an Indian wedding and the beauty that Kevin & Monika showcased on this day.
Photographing an Indian wedding is the most action-packed but yet one of the most detailed oriented ceremonies that I have ever been a part of. Every single part, gesture and moment means something so one must be on their toes. In my humble opinion, it is almost impossible to take a bad photograph as beautiful the Hindu ceremony is.
Started out around 6am at Monikas room before doing the first look on the grounds of the Merion before the Baraat. I will tell you, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a grand entrance like this for any wedding of any kind.
After our first look and a few photographs of these two, Kevin went to a remote location to take a helicopter to the Baraat. Yes, I said it a helicopter. It was truly a grand entrance for sure as many of the guest and family weren’t aware when a helicopter came down that it was Kevin and his brother in it.
Amazing Baraat and grand entrance for sure. Lots of dancing, dancing and more dancing before entering the Merions main dome room which provided amazing light for the ceremony.
Once the ceremony was finished we took a break and continued the evening with the traditional American Ceremony before continuing on with the festivities of the night.
