Weddings at the Tides Estate have gotten to be much more fun for me since they have renovated or rather have built a new bridal suite room that finally has windows. Before the room, I would look for any window light to try to make an image. I was always successful in creating a solid image for my brides but it took a lot more work. Now with this room, which is the first time I actually utilized the room made my day so much easier for me to photograph Stephanie in the excellent light the room provides.
Today’s wedding that we feature Adrian & Stephanie had the biggest threat of rain. It was actually 90% chance of rain and actually to be very honest with you, it rained in the entire state of New Jersey except for where we were currently located. So I guess the weather gods blessed us with an outdoor wedding.
I met Adrian & Stephanie actually at The Tides Estate where I was visiting a friend that actually does the floral arrangements for the venue. I asked them if they were getting married at this venue and they said yes. So I told them to listen to their photographer’s advice, not knowing they did not have a photographer. Well, one thing led to another and they happened to talk to me again and asked about my work so I showed them my Instagram account and they loved my work.
So here we are on their wedding day where Stephanie actually listened to my advice on how to be prepared for me and in my personal opinion received beautiful photos. We also did a video for them and they took direction amazingly well. Not once did they feel pressured or frazzled on their day. Much credit to the both of them.
