Here we have Walt & Cara Wedding at Naninas In the Park for a January wedding where the weather wasn’t too bad at all. Anytime you’re able to take photos outside in January? Yes, I’ll take it. So I show up to Walt’s hotel room and he’s not there! So I give him a call and he picks up the phone naturally and I tell him that I am at the hotel to make sure he knows that I actually showed up to his wedding to give him reassurance. So he tells me that once he changes the tire on his car he will be right over! His tire blew out on the highway while he was heading to the hotel on the biggest day of his life. After changing the tire, he goes back in the car to turn it on and now the battery is dead. Unbelievable. You can’t write this up, even though I’m writing this up.
So he arrives to the hotel a little late as a friend that was trailing him took him to the hotel and his hands are all dirty. I wanted to take a pic of his hands so he can remember how his hands were the day of his wedding. Walt took a shower upon arriving and cleaned up pretty well. We took a few photos outside and before I headed over to Cara’s home we had to take a groom shot of Walts car near the tire donut he changed.
Can’t say enough about these two. Walt’s attitude the whole day was amazing and Cara’s even more. As everyone knows I love all my clients and love good people and these two are right there. Amazing people, excellent attitude and so easy to work with. It was a challenge a bit because Winter weddings give you an early sunset and by the time we get out of the church ceremony I only had a few minutes to try to create anything so we took some night shots at the venue.
But we pulled it off and got some solid images considering the conditions. But the joy on their faces is my lasting impression of these two amazing people. Here are a few from their day….
